About the Lab

In support of our SonoPath's mission to Foster the Art of Veterinary Medicine, the team continues to seek out topics, and world-renowned expert presenters that will help general practice veterinarians improve their skills. Internal medicine is a very complex and broad topic, that many DVMs struggle with. Both Dr. Lobetto and Dr. Lindquist have a casual and entertaining teaching style that helps break these topics up into digestible pieces of information that can easily be retained and put into practice.

The lecture series will focus on conditions of the G.I. and Pancreas, Urinary Tract, and liver, with clinical disease and management. Attendees will walk away with comprehensive knowledge, and resources to continue learning and honing your skills well after the lab has ended.

Who Should Attend?
This is an excellent series for general practice DVMs to attend - whether or not you currently use ultrasound.

Internal medicine is key to understanding veterinary patients internal body systems functions, diagnosing and treating many, common and serious diseases you likely see in your practice. Improving your knowledge of common diseases, diagnosis and management will undoubtedly improve your skills as a clinician by teaching you  how to diagnose more complicated medical problems.

The lecture and lab series was scheduled on a Saturday & Sunday to make it easier for veterinarians to attend. The lecture includes an optional hands-on veterinary ultrasound scanning session for the attendees interested in either learning more about the SDEP protocol, or those wanting to focus on improving specific views they may be struggling with; common examples are adrenals, pancreas, and shunts.
